Views are being sought concerning how best to deliver a nature-on-referral service in Cornwall. Cornwall Council, the University of Exeter, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Local Nature Board and Cornwall Health and Wellbeing Board have all come together - with the benefit of funding from the Natural Environment Research Council - to produce a draft plan. The full document, together with a summary version and a link to an online questionnaire, are all available at http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/doseofnature
This is a major development in the work to make nature-based interventions for health and wellbeing a more commonplace choice for doctors and other potential referrers in Cornwall. The aim of the plan is to maximise the capacity to deliver a service, to help deliver Cornwall's Environmental Growth Strategy, and to help the NHS innovate, save and coordinate services across sectors.
Everyone involved really wants to hear the views of as many people as possible, so please do go online, have a read, and give us your thoughts.
